Unexpectedly Guest Posting Here
I often get people commenting and emailing to ask me what they need to do to guest post on the Unexpected Traveller’s Blog. Here are a few guidelines for you:
First of all, read the blog a little and use the links below to read a few past posts. This will help you get a feel for the type of story I write which is usually focused on a humorous fact. It may be something I’ve seen, something I’ve experienced or something that caused my eye but will always come under the heading of “Unexpected”, and in most cases happened to me whilst travelling.
Secondly, don’t worry about the overall style. You don’t have to write the same way I do – indeed, having a different style shows originality – but the story must be your own and it must be original. I’m not too fussed if it already appeared elsewhere but the story should be reproduced here; I won’t let you add a blog post which just links to some other site.
Thirdly, the photos and images you use must be your own. At the very least, you should own the copyright and be able to distribute them.
