Interested in Guest Posting?

Those of you who have been following the blog know that in recent times, I have run one or two guest posts here.  The information and quality of the posts was top-notch and judging by the stats behind the post, you all enjoyed reading them as much as I did!

I’m interested in providing more and more of you with the opportunity to guest post, so if you’re interested perhaps you’d like to take a look at these helpful tips:

  1. My blog focuses on the unusual, particularly that which happens when travelling. I’m only interested in these sort of stories.
  2. If you do not have a blog of your own, don’t worry!  I’m happy to proof read your article and run with it but if you do have a blog, I will include a short intro and links to it too.
  3. The story must be yours and must be original – and must also be unpublished elsewhere.
  4. Do include one or two pictures with your entry. You must own the copyright on those too.
  5. If you’re not sure whether something will be suitable, leave a message in the comments section below and I will reply telling you whether I like what I see or not.

Here’s hoping that we get many guest posts from frequent readers and frequent travellers!

  8. Hi,

Im interested in guest blogging- can you let me know how I go about this?

  9. Hey there,

My name is Timothy from Credit Card Finder in Sydney Australia.

I’d just like to say congrats on your Unexpected Traveller Blog, I reckon it looks really good and contains plenty of interesting information on travel.

I’m actually a regular personal finance guest poster and would be really interested in contributing to your blog.

As for the topic idea I was thinking of writing a post about advice on unusual overseas travel etiquette. This is based on my recent trip in Japan where there were many cultural shocks I experienced personally such as:

    *Japanese don’t believe in tipping.
*Japanese don’t like to make eye contact with you unless they know you personally.
*Being refused into Japanese-only night clubs.

Please let me know if you are interested and I’d be happy to send you the article for your review.

    Many thanks

    Timothy

  10. Hello,
I recently discovered your website and I would be interested in deploying a blog post/article or a text link on your site. I could provide the content unless you would rather write it yourself or can provide relevant existing content. My client is a travel information company with sites for destinations around the world. If that interests you please do not hesitate to contact me.
    Thanks for your support.
    Kind Regards
    Stefan

    • This sounds like a great idea Stefan, I’ll be in touch.

  11. Hello,

My name is Jay. I graduated at Rotterdam University in Holland. Since then I have been traveling the world and I have actually experienced some pretty amazing stuff. I have been to various places in the United States and Europe and am currently in Barcelona, Spain. My goal is to inspire other people to travel the world with my stories. I was wondering if you would give me the chance to put one of my articles as a guest post on your website. Is there anything specific you are looking for?

    Thank you,

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Jay

  12. I would love to! And you expressed the wish to write a guest post for my blog as well :-) I am sorry I didn’t contact you earlier, but The Viking and I have been traveling. You can contact us at ingrid.dendievel@gmail.com

    • I shall be in touch … Great news!

  13. Hi Unexpected Traveller. I wish to write a guest post on your blog. :) I had an idea to pitch an article called Survivor eats: BALUT. I wanted to feature a special delicacy we have in the Philippines. BALUT is a fertilized duck egg or raw embryo boiled and eaten in the shell. Balut has been featured a bunch of times in different challenge shows like Survivor. It’s a working title. but it pretty much says it all. Hope you will let me feature this topic on your blog. Hope to hear from you soon.

  14. Hi

I’m Emily, a blogger from Manchester. I’ve been reading your blog and found the article http://unexpectedtraveller.wordpress.com/2012/08/06/imaginative-use-of-space/#more-3676 very interesting.

As you accept guest posts I was thinking I could write you an article on “How to prepare your finances for a summer vacation” . The content I provide would be Copyscape protected and at no cost to you. In return I just need a clean backlink to my site http://www.crazypayday.co.uk .

I have written a number of guestposts for sites in the past which you can view by following

Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Regards
    Emily

  15. Hello there! I am extremely interested in being a contributor for your blog- I have a lot of travel experience and do a lot of writing on gay travel. I love your perspective on travel, I have always believed that the most bizarre and jarring travel experiences lead to the most incredible insights and growth. Let me know what you think about posting an LGBT-themed article about my travel experiences! Looking forward to hearing back from you. Best, Sophie
